How is FinanceOS different from QuickBooks or Sage?
FinanceOS is built specifically for government contractors. It includes DCAA cost pools, dual trial balance (GAAP + government), FAR Part 31 compliance, and 45 AI agents that automate journal entries, reconciliation, and monthly close. QuickBooks and Sage require extensive customization to handle GovCon accounting.
Do I need the GovCon add-on?
If you hold government contracts, yes. The GovCon add-on includes Starter accounting plus a completely separate chart of accounts with 156 DCAA indirect cost pool accounts, Contract Cost Monitor, and GovCon Director agent. It replaces standard expenses with compliant cost pools.
Can I migrate from QuickBooks?
Yes. FinanceOS includes a QuickBooks migration path. Our pilot runs on Cabrillo Club's own QBO instance. Migration maps your existing chart of accounts to the DCAA-compliant structure.
